Extra: No toilets at Walk Start, then none en route until the 7-mile mark at Townley Hall Park. Optional pub visit at the end of the walk. The walk finishes in Burnley town centre where there will be a choice of pubs to go to. However, the railway station is a short 10-minute walk which the walk leader can guide people back to.
This walk includes stunning views of the West Pennine Moors and Pendle Hill and visits The Singing Ringing Tree - a wind powered sound sculpture resembling a tree set in the landscape of the moors above Burnley. The majority of the climbing in this walk is done in the first half. There are some long ascents and the route is very undulating, so a good degree of fitness is required and the walk is not suitable for novice walkers. Some paths may be muddy.
