Overview

From Cambridge we will take the guided bus (free to Freedom Pass holders) to the growing biomedical campus and the future Cambridge South station. We walk beside the busway, on a former railway line, to Trumpington and across the Cam to the pretty village of Grantchester. We follow the Cam north through Grantchester Meadows and along "The Backs". We enter the city centre via Garret Hostel Lane, passing many university buildings to Jesus Green. After lunch we meander back to Cambridge station through the greenery of Midsummer Common, Christs Piece's and Parker's Piece.
