This relaxed post-Christmas walk follows The Line — London’s first dedicated public art trail — currently featuring a collection of 22 outdoor artworks by a range of contemporary artists.
Spanning from Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to Greenwich Peninsula, The Line follows the waterways and traces the path of the Meridian, from which it derives its name. Starting at Stratford Station, we’ll make our way past Three Mills and continue through East London to Royal Victoria Dock, where we’ll enjoy a scenic cable car ride across the Thames.
The walk finishes with a gentle stretch along the Thames Path, looping around the Greenwich Peninsula before ending at North Greenwich Underground Station.
Train: Stratford Underground Station (Zone 2), served by Central Line, DLR, Elizabeth Line, Jubilee Line and London Overground.
Lunch: There is no formal lunch stop, but we may have a short tea break at Cody Dock (subject to the café being open). Please bring your own snacks.
There are plenty of eateries at the O2 at the end of the walk for those who’d like to eat afterwards.
Toilet: Available at Stratford, Olympic Park, Cody Dock, and North Greenwich.
