An easy walk along the canal where we shall see an elephant, a mythical serpent with a gold egg in its mouth and learn about the potato prohibition in Glasgow!
this is all before we reach the watering hole at Lock 27!!

An easy level walk (apart from slight gradient at beginning taken slowly) starting at Buchanan Bus Station and making our way up to the site of the old Pinkston Power Station. We pass Speirs Wharf, old warehouses and mills now developed into luxury flats, the Clay Pits, now a Nature Reserve, Partick Thistle Football Ground before reaching the complicated Lock system at Maryhill.
We have two stops, one at a cafe for a snack/toilet stop and the other a lunch stop at Stockingfield Bridge.
