Starting from Glenridding, we will head over to Lanty's Tarn and make our way over to the path up Grisedale Brow with wonderful views up Grisedale Valley. On a path that gradually get steeper, we reach the Hole-in-the-Wall junction. From here we head down to Red Tarn and start heading up towards Swirral Edge but switch back and walk to our highest point of the day. Our descent off Catstye Cam will be via it's east ridge (which has some scree) until we meet the main path alongside Red Tarn. We follow this path all the way back to Glenridding via Rattlebeck Bridge. The paths are good throughout and the walk will be taken at a moderate pace.Β NB: if the weather is poor, we will decide on the day whether to ascend Catstye Cam.
