We are the Pocklington Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The walk will be led by Tony Ashbridge.
Leaving Coneysthorpe along the Centenary Way we head in a south easterly direction on the Castle Howard Estate to Bog Hall and then on to Low Gaterley before stopping for a banana/drinks break. We then bear east over field edges before swinging north and up to Easthorpe Hall taking in the view over to the Temple of the 4 Winds on the Castle Howard Estate . Carefully crossing the road we then head over tracks and fields to the churchyard at Appleton le Street for lunch. We carry on across rough grazing land and a long farm track into Barton le Street before bearing south and heading over field edges into Coneys Bank Wood and a gentle final section with views over to Castle Howard before re-entering Coneysthorpe.
No dogs except assistance dogs with consent of the leader.
Those wearing shorts will encounter nettles.
