Overview

Easy walk.  Between 8.5 and 9 miles with approx 360 feet ascent and descent.

Packed lunch and morning snack needed.  No dogs please.

Track and field walking.  Very crisp and dry for recce but different conditions could mean mud so poles recommended.

Route: Tracks, then cross Altrincham Road toward the Rugby Club. Along the Bollin to the Carrs. CP near play area.  Morning break.  Takeaway coffees here and one loo working.  20p coin or card. Under A34 towards Alderley Edge. Cross Prestbury Rd and across fields to the Hough. More fields towards Harden Park via tunnel under railway line. Veer off Alderley bypass towards golf course.  Cross the golf course onto Brook Lane, then Row of Trees. Back to start point via bridleways and tracks.
