The walk starts in Cliburn, then traverses field paths and tracks with open views across the Eden Valley towards the North Pennines.  It then rises up into Whinfell Forest and follows woodland paths around the periphery of 'Centre Parks', to reach the high point of Leacet Hill with panoramic views across  the Leith and Eden Valleys to the south and west. The walk route descends via Cliburn Moss National Nature Reserve to return to Cliburn along a Leith riverside path.
