Cold Kitchen Hill

West Mendip Walkers moderate 9.75 mile walk up Cold Kitchen Hill.  Starting from Shearwater lake we head up through the forest then reaching the more exposed Downs and Cold Kitchen Hill itself where there’s a trig point at the top which serves as a good stop for morning coffee break. We carry on along the downs with far reaching views across the countryside. The finale is passing down through the Redwood trees around Sheerwater lake . There are fine restrooms at the Shearwater Cabin serving tea & cakes. This is a dog friendly walk with a few gentle climbs and no stiles.
