From Daneshill Lakes car park we walk to Sutton Church and on to Lound passing The Gate Inn which stands at what would have been the gate to Sutton Common. From Lound we take Neatholme Lane (Neat is old English for cattle and Holme is a meadow which floods) to Wild Goose Farm and then make our way, across fields, to Common Lane, Ranskill and from there back to Daneshill. There are a few ups and downs along the way but this is generally a flat walk.
Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the time of year. There are likely to be some muddy areas depending on the weather. Bring a packed lunch and something to drink.
Please be aware that there is limited parking at Daneshill Lakes especially in the morning when a lot of dog walkers use the area. The walk leader will be at the start point and will not be going to Chapelgate Car Park first.
If you haven't walked with Retford Ramblers before please contact the walk leader before coming on the walk.
