Starting from the Hay Wood National Trust car park (please bring your membership cards) we head up to White Edge, which is a short but fairly steep path. We are immediately rewarded with extensive views across the Peak District , which we keep throughout most of the walk. After reaching the trig point, we head down to Curbar Gap, and return to our starting point via Curbar Edge and Froggatt Edge, with stunning views all along. This is only a short walk, so time can be spent exploring and enjoying the many rock formations along the edges. We will also have a couple of breaks for coffee and lunch, so please bring drinks and food!
We may also visit the Grouse Inn (near the car park) for refreshments before driving home.
In the case of bad weather, please contact the walk leader on the morning of the walk or look at the website to make sure it hasn’t been postponed or cancelled.
Please also bring appropriate footwear, as the paths can be uneven and wet/muddy in places.
