Overview

This walk starts in Portinscale, has no stiles and is on easy footpaths along the side of Derwentwater.  It then ascends a short, steep, rough path to cross the Lakeside road and return on the Allerdale Ramble, with scenic views across the lake, completing a 6.5 ml circuit.
