We are the Cleveland Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

Our route takes us uphill through woods to Blue Beck Cottage. and then on to High Burrows Farm ( the gate at the end of the field track was closed on the recce so we might use the quiet road instead). Then we follow the Bridle way to the road, and then the track down hill via Murk Esk Cottage. This is steep and stony and walking poles would be useful here, especially if it’s wet.
We then follow the rail track to Grosmont and then the wide track passing by Egton Manor back to the cars. There are a few stiles.
There will be a ten minute break. Please feel free to bring a drink/snack to enjoy.
Now the nights are drawing in it is advisable to carry a torch in case the light is failing towards the ednd of the route.
