Overview

Elemore Park

The walk is about 5 miles. We will be walking from Elemore Park, quite a new development. It used to be a golf course but firstly it was a colliery. We cross the road and walk towards Elemore Woods, follow Coldwell Burn then head back to the park on wide mowed grassy paths with meadow flowers and grasses. We will then head back into Elemore Park where there is some assault course apparatus near to the cafe if you feel up to having a go after the walk.

The paths were dry when I did the recce but there are some long grasses in places so if it rains leading up to the walk gaiters would be useful.

Refreshments- If you wish, will be at the lovely cafe in the park. Please note they can run out of things by lunch time but they do have a good choice of cooked food, sandwiches, small cakes and scones. They have said they can make us bacon sandwiches.
