Overview

This walk starts from the Blencathra Centre, descends to Derwentfolds and skirts the bottom of Latrigg before following the east side of Glenderaterra Beck and returning to the Blencathra Centre on the west side of the Beck.  There are extensive and impressive views of the Lakeland fells.

The route is mainly on gravel tracks and rocky surfaces.  There are a couple of tricky, rocky sections and short boggy patches.  Whist there is 1,350ft of ascent, this spread across the walk and there are no steep sections.
