Overview

Following mainly quiet country lanes and footpaths across fields, our walk starts with a short, steep climb from Haydon Bridge up to Whinnetley Farm and then heads  to Tony's Patch, a site managed by Northumberland Wildlife Trust.  We return to the village via Chesterwood and The Tofts.  Refreshments will be provided at the Methodist Church and a collection will be taken in aid of the wildlife trust.

This walk celebrates the memory of Ann Nicholson, a long-standing member of Hexham Ramblers.
