Overview

From Powburn our route turns east along the Breamish valley to Beanley. We climb to Beanley Moor with its Bronze and Iron Age remains, including Ringses hillfort. From here we cross to Titlington Pike with extensive views of the Cheviots and above Shepherds Law hermitage. Our return is along a disused railway line into Powburn.

Mixture of good paths, roads and some rough ground. Poles and gaiters may be useful.
