Overview

Our walk today is a high-level linear route from Mickely to Riding Mill. 

The route from Mickley climbs to Hedley-on-the-Hill and across to Apperley. We descend to Hindley and Low Fotherley before climbing on an old track through fields passing Wheelbirks  to Healy. Our final descent into Riding Mill is via High Plains.

Please meet at the Wellington pub in Riding Mill to catch the Tyne Vally 10 bus at 9.37am to Mickley Square. There is an option to catch the Tyne Valley 10 from Hexham or Corbridge [Departs Hexham Bus Station at 9.21am and Corbridge Hill Street at 9.30am]. Car parking is available in Riding Mill on Whiteside road or Church Lane.
