We are the Mid Wiltshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

From Hilmarton church we walk through the village along field paths and into the back of Goatacre village. After crossing the main road we follow an undulating path up to the boundary of Lyneham airfield. After a mile or so we descend gradually to the outskirts of Foxham. We will stop for a coffee break at the Best Ever Brownie Company Barn. Our walk back crosses some ploughed fields, with a short uphill section and then uses tracks to return to Hilmarton. The Duchess (at the Duke Hotel) is open on a Thursday for those who want lunch or another coffee at the end of the walk
Expect stiles and some mud. Poles may be helpful. There may be livestock enroute.
Bring refreshments for one stop. We will be back for lunch.
