This is a lengthy yet very rewarding walk through the rolling hills of Surrey and northern Kent, traversing serene woodlands along the Greensand Way through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the region.
Our trail takes us past Chartwell, the celebrated former home of Winston Churchill. While we don't venture inside, its presence adds a touch of historical intrigue to our path. Further along, we'll pause for lunch amidst the ruins of Weardale Manor, where you can enjoy magnificent views of the southern countryside. Please bring a packed lunch.
After lunch, we continue to the tranquil upland village of Ide Hill, before turning south and meandering through farmland towards the Bough Beech Reservoir, where we will stop for few minutes to enjoy the view.
Our adventure concludes at Chiddingstone Causeway, where we'll catch the train back from Penshurst train station.
