Overview

NORTH and MID CHESHIRE WALKING WEEK - KESWICKBus 555 to start of a challenging high level mt route. A grassy steep and continuous ascent from Stybeck Farm to Sticks Pass. Then we head south along a broad, undulating, rocky ridge with some steep sections gaining several Wainwrights including Helvellyn and Dollywaggon Pike. We descend the ridge on a steep rocky zig zag path to Grizedale Tarn and continue on down alongside Little Tongue Gill to A591 nr The Travellers Rest Inn and the bus back to Keswick. Expect rocky, uneven paths and possible wet, slippery terrain. NB this route is exposed to the elements with little shelter. Suitable clothing and footwear needed. If we consider the weather unsuitable we will do an alternative walk. Co leaders Steve Bellamy and Linda Flavell. Total cumulative ascent 3270 ft. Sorry, no dogs due to local restrictions.
