Overview

NORTH and MID CHESHIRE WALKING WEEK - KESWICKWe leave Keswick on the Ambleside Road, heading through Springs Wood & across fields to cross the A591. (Sheep in the fields last June.) The pasture becomes rougher & potentially wetter as we ascend to Castlerigg Stone Circle. Following a break here, we descend by road & join the old railway line. We then skirt to the north of the town and join the riverside path to return to the Moot Hall. Total cumulative ascent 750 ft. Tel 07510286616. Dogs welcome, untethered at leader's discretion.
