Overview

NORTH and MID CHESHIRE WALKING WEEK - KESWICK 555 bus to Stanah Dam Road End. Carefully cross A591 to attain the established footpath, rough and stony in places, up to High Rigg, looking down on St John's in the Vale. ( Ascent of 890ft in first 1.5 mls). N past Tewet Tarn on field paths then W mainly on quiet country lanes, to walk by the Stone Circle. S to Castlerigg and W to the viewpoint towards Derwentwater and Keswick. Return to Keswick and all it's hostelries via the landing stage link. Total cumulative ascent 1545 ft. Tel 07807621929. Sorry, no dogs due to local restrictions. Full Day.
