There are 4 ladder stiles and a couple of wooden stiles. Bound to be some mud but beautiful views on a clear day.
Route: Nelson Pit, Green Farm, Knott, Hase Bank Wood, Paddock Cottage, Path above Cluse Hay, Knightslow Wood, steep climb to Bowstones, downhill to Browside Farm, road walking to Bailey’s Farm, New House Farm, Steep climb to The Dipping Stone, Whaley Moor, Cock Knoll, East Lodge, Lyme Park House (possibly via Lantern Wood), Haresteads Farm, back to Nelson Pit.
Should be back by 3.30.
Toilets available at Nelson Pit and possibly Lyme Park House. Bring drinks and food for coffee and lunch stops. Lifts available from Handforth area - contact Melanie.
