Overview

Some steady ascents - will be muddy in places.

Steady ascent from Smithy Lane across the fields to the left of Ginclough Farm. There are some steep stiles on this stretch. Take the B5470 along the road to Harrop Fold Farm, footpath down to Black Brook, then right up the track to join B5470. Left along Bakenstonedale Road for a short stretch before turning left to Further Harrop Farm. From there we take the upper path through Harrop Wood, Oakenbank, Savio House, Swanscoe Farm, up over Kerridge Ridge and back to Rainow via Sugar Lane.

There may be livestock in the fields so no dogs please.

Please bring your ICE information, drinks, and a packed lunch.

Contact Maggie for further details if needed. I can offer a lift from Prestbury.
