Meet Point: Near the ticket barriers, or on the platform at Piccadilly Station. Alternatively, meet the group on the train, or at the Walk Start at Heald Green Station.

Waypoints: Styal road, Moss Lane, South side viewing area, Bollin Valley Way, River Bollin tunnel, End of runway 05 Left, Abandoned farm loop, River Bollin tunnel, South side fire station, Wilmslow road, Manchester Airport viewing area, Wilmslow Old road, Runger lane footpath, Thorley lane, Enterprise way, A555 Manchester Airport relief road, Ringway road.
Extra: No toilet at walk start. Toilets at Airport viewing Park. The walk finishes at the Tatton Arms, which is a 15 minute walk from the Railway Station. Please do not bring your dog (apart from assistance dogs)
This is a generally flat walk taking in old farm buildings and forested walkways, which give an insight to the area before the airport was built.
There are many views of the airport from dramatic and unusual vantage points
This is quite a surprising walk, revealing how much greenery and farmland adjoins large sections of the airport.
