A pleasant walk through the Kilsyth Hills to the second highest point in the Campsie Fells with extensive views to the East and West coasts of Scotland.

A different approach to Meikle Bin. We follow a minor road and then a farm track to Birkenburn Reservoir before crossing Black Hill and climbing to the summit of Meikle Bin. We return via our outward route with the option to visit Laird’s Hill.

Local Grade: B

Terrain:  A mixture of roads, farm tracks and hill paths. Some short but very boggy sections.

Max height:  570 m.
