Start from from car park SK 980994 (Post code SK15 3HA) in Millbrook 9.30am to catch bus at 9.40 to the Roaches pub.
Bring packed lunch and no dogs please. Also bus pass /money for bus.
We start on the Oldham way but then turn off to walk up Alphin pike which has a trig point and shelter. We then follow the edge with splendid views of Dove Stone reservoir Leaving the edge path at Chew Hurdle the path gently rises over Ormes Moor and descends above Ogden Brook and Ogden Clough. Joining the Pennine Bridleway we go between Higher and Lower Swineshaw reservoirs to take a path above Swineshaw brook and Brushes reservoir descending to Walkerwood Reservoir. Crossing the dam we enter the Brushes park to return to the car park. Some excellent views on a clear day.
