A post-Christmas jaunt to work off those mince pies. This circular walk starts at Mortonhall Garden Centre (130m), meanders over the estate and field paths before climbing up to Buckstane Snab (200m) on the Braid Hills in South Edinburgh. If we are fortunate with the weather there is good viewing across the city and beyond. Return is through the Hermitage of Braid alongside the Braid Burn (90m) and a last climb back up to Mortonhall where a cup of tea awaits.
Some of the descent paths can be rather muddy after rain or could be icy depending on the weather. A couple of sections of tarmac.
The walk is limited to 15 walkers.
Please contact the walk leader, Cath Norman,07801354754, by the evening of Sunday 28th December if you would like to join this walk and let her know if you need a lift or are happy to give a lift from Livingston.
