Overview

The first part of the walk follows the Raven Walk in the Sirhowy valley up to Mynyddislwyn. It starts through woodland paths alongside the Sirhowy River and then down into Ynysddu. Crossing to the other side of the valley, it continues up a steep lane and then through fields to the, now disused, Nant y Draenog Reservoir. There is another steep climb through a field and then a slight detour to walk past Twyn Tudor and a visit to St Tudor’s Church. The return is via Troed y Rhiw Road, before turning down a path passing Pant y Trwyn Farm, the home of Isca Aplacas. There is then a woodland path back down to the main road in Cwmfelinfach and return to the start.
