This is a linear walk from Patterdale back to Pooley Bridge. We’ll start by heading up to Boredale Hause via Side Farm and then up onto Beda Fell where we’ll hopefully have some fabulous views. We’ll then head down towards Howtown to pick up the Ullswater Way back to Pooley Bridge.
The paths are well walked but they are likely to be boggy in some areas at this time of year. There are some rocky paths that are quite slippy in wet weather so great care should be taken. Walking poles would be an advantage.
This walk is listed as ‘Strenuous’ based mostly on the distance. The walk will be done at a moderate pace with plenty of breathers.
We’ll car share from Penrith Rugby Club and park in Pooley Bridge (Sunnyside car park - £4/day).
We’ll catch the 0917 bus (£3) to Patterdale.
