A hilly and picturesque route amongst the rolling pastures and moorland around Ryal.
From Fairspring we join St Oswald's Way, passing Grindstone Law and crossing Duns Moor before returning to Ryal along the Devils Causeway. Ryal church is well worth a visit.

Please park considerately at a small off-road parking area in Ryal. This is about 200m from the crossroads in Ryal on the road signposted towards Chollerton, as shown in the map. Parking is limited so car sharing is important. We try to offer an informal share from Hexham - please contact the walk leader if you are interested (driver or passenger).
