Meeting at the information board at Buchanan Bus Station at 9am we will head to stance 4 for the 9:15am Stagecoach X27 to Kirkcaldy Bus Station.
We will get off the X27 bus at Kincardine North Approach Road, then walk a short distance to Kincardine High Street Bus Stance for no Stagecoach No 8a Bus. We will get off the 8a bus at Culross Palace around 11am. The walk around the 5 miles Preston Island Circuit will begin on arrival at Culross.
We will aim to return by the hourly number 8a leaving at 14:06 for Kincardine, then the X24 leaving Kincardine at 41 minutes past the hour. Arriving back in Glasgow around 16:00.
The walk is flat on mostly tarmac paths. There are picnic areas for coffee and lunch. Toilets at beginning and end of walk in Culross.
ANYONE WISHING TO JOIN THE WALK AFTER THE MEETING POINT AT GLASGOW BUCHANAN BUS STATION PLEASE TELL THE LEADER IN ADVANCE OF WHERE YOU WISH TO MEET THE GROUP. THANK YOU.
Toilets at beginning and end of walk. Flat mostly flat tarmac paths with views of the Firth of Forth. To ensure walk is completed in daylight lunch stop will be about 30 minutes.
