Overview

A surprisingly rural walk on the fringes of West London. From the lakes of Rickmansworth aquadrome we follow the Colne valley trail and Grand Union canal to Black Jack's lock. Climbing up the valley, now on Hillingdon trail, a brief 'coffee' stop at Harefield church with time to view Anzac war graves before we cross the 3 Ruislip woods for a late lunch at the Lido. Bring picnic, drinks and toilets available at pub. Leaving the woods now on the Celendine route which follows the river Pinn all the way to Pinner station.

4 stiles on route and two short climbs, could be muddy in woods and on canal towpath.
