A lovely circular route above and along the Tyne.
From Low Prudhoe, Tyne Riverside Country Park (South side) our route crosses the River Tyne at Ovingham and climbs up through Whittle Dene woods to gain expansive views over the valley. From here we cross fields down to Ovington and west to cross the river at Stocksfield. From here, we follow the river back along to Low Prudhoe via Eltringham Woods.
Toilets and cafe at start and end of walk.

Please meet at Tyne Riverside Country Park (South side) at Low Prudhoe (see map for location). Car sharing is advised. We try to offer an informal share from Hexham - please contact the walk leader if you are interested (driver or passenger). The start point for this walk is accessible by public transport.
