A surprisingly rural walk in an urban area with the opportunity to see several species of duck.
We will catch the 09:25 train from Helensburgh Central and arrive at Blairhill at 10:34. Our return from Hogganfield Loch will be by bus to Glasgow City Centre and train back to Helensburgh.
A linear walk along the Monkland Canal to Drumpellier Country Park, where will stop for coffee at the visitor centre. We continue our walk past Bishop Loch and Gartloch Village to Hogganfield Loch.
Local Grade: C+ but only due to distance
Terrain: Good paths and tracks with occasional muddy sections.

Helensburgh Central Railway Station We will meet at 09:15 to catch the 09:25 Edinburgh train to Blairhill.
Blairhill Railway Station Please note we will leave promptly after the 09:25 train from Helensburgh has departed.
