A leisurely circular walk from Skellingthorpe Community car park (free to park) through Old Wood to Doddington Hall and back.
We start off on the old disused railway track, which is now a major cycle route, along to Skellingthorpe Old Wood, (where Vikings once lived). We then pick up the very good track to Doddington Hall, passing the farm shop and cafe. Field paths then take us back to our starting place.
There is the option of calling at the cafe for refreshments, also The Plough Inn just before we return to our cars.
The terrain is flat, with mainly very good paths and tracks - there was one very wet/muddy patch which I hope will have improved by mid April! Hopefully the bluebells will be out too.
Walking boots advisable, we will also be having a couple of stops for food and drink.
Dogs are very welcome, but must be kept on a lead.
