We start with a walk along the Forth and Clyde Canal before joining the track of the closed railway between Kirkintilloch and Lennoxtown.  Next we climb to the trig. point on Blairskaith Muir before descending to Balmore and Cadder. Finally we re-join the Forth and Clyde Canal to take us back to our starting point.

Local Grade: B (but only due to distance)

Terrain:  Mostly on hard surfaces - canal towpath, former railway track, country lanes and one potentially muddy path. Mostly flat or downhill but with one long, steepish climb to 200m.

Max height:  260 m.
