Overview

Approx. 4 miles; easy, one stile, could be very muddy in places.

Route: Walk along canal to footbridge and cross busy A523 Macclesfield to Leek Road.
Slightly uphill to  the picturesque Sutton Reservoir and have a coffee stop at the picnic tables alongside Leek Old Road.
Continue across road, through trees to a possibly muddy area leading to Symondley Road.
Through village towards Hollinhey School, over the stile and across the meadow to the cars.

  Approximately two hours. 

No arrangements for lunch but the Old King's Head is just down the road.
