Overview

A walk through history of the Teesside area. I will set the scene of the birth of Middlesbrough from farmland to becoming the industrial heartbeat of the country and it's demise as heavy industry declined. Starting at Flatts Lane we will walk along the lower reaches of Eston Hills passing the disused mines and carrying on along the old railway lines. We then work our way along a quiet road then into the woods and farmland at the back of the hills. We will then gradually climb up to the highest point of the hills (nab) where we will have magnificient views of Teesside before returning to Flatts Lane. Expect graffiti and rubbish but fantastic views.
