Overview

Join us on this five mile circular walk taking in Nottinghamshire's newest country park and offering the opportunity to explore Thoresby's mining heritage. The highest point gives us great 360* views of Sherwood Forest and nearby villages. You can see further afield using the telescope sited up there. We will have a mid-walk drinks break. The walk finishes at the Dukeries Lodge hotel where you will be able to get refreshments.

Although new paths have been laid you are advised to wear boots. There are not too steep hills to walk up but the views make it worthwhile. There are no public toilets on this route.

Please register for this walk on Newark Ramblers website where you will also find details of our car share scheme.
