Overview

Walkers must book in advance with the walk leader

A walk to one of the three hills close to the centre of Helensburgh. This walk provides extensive views over the town, the River Clyde, the Rosneath Peninsular and Arran.

From Kidston Park we walk towards Torr and then through Highlandman’s Wood before reaching the summit of Tom na h-Airih. The return route takes us along part of the Three Lochs Way and through Duchess Woods.

Local Grade: C+

Terrain:  A mixture of paths, tracks and open hillside. Some paths are across rough ground in newly felled forestry. There are also several very boggy areas.
