Starting at Godden Green we walk amongst the equestrian fields surrounding the hamlet. Continuing into one of the quieter parts of Knole Park along its eastern boundary we may see shy herds of deer peering out from the woods. We leave the Park to join the Greensand Way with extensive views over the Weald. We follow the base of the ridge to Ightham Mote before climbing up through the Fairlawn Estate to arrive at the pretty village of Plaxtol and a well earned lunch break and refreshments available in the Papermakers Arms or village shop. The afternoon sees a sheltered series of woodland stretches via Ivy Hatch and Seal Chart. A final ascent across the Wilderness Golf Course brings us back to where we began and refreshments at the Bucks Head. It will be muddy in parts so come prepared.
