Overview

From Grinton bridge we take an uphill path just after the church passing blue ball to Low and High Harker Hill and passing the shooters lodge (possible lunch stop). Continuing on we take a path towards old moor gate and make our way down to Stubbin farm and follow the river path to cross over the swing bridge over the River Swale to Reeth and back to Grinton.

The uphill path at Grinton has a couple of stiles. There is a dry beck to cross where we meet the track which leads up Harker Hill but footing on these tracks is good.

Excellent views in all directions but it is open ex mining up here. Our return is mainly on paths that diagonally cross the main tractor access road.
