Starting from Haymarket Station we will walk along the Water of Leith to the picturesque Dean Village. We then carry along the Water of Leith towards the Botanic Gardens (East Gate) and walk a trail around the Gardens to the West Gate. Hot drinks and snacks can be bought at the Terrace Cafe, but there is plenty of seating outside if you have brought your own drink and snack. We then make our way back to Haymarket Station, passing through Inverleith Park.
Mostly good paths, some of which may be muddy. There are steep steps down to the Water of Leith and steep steps back up again. There are also some roads to cross and care should be taken.
We will meet on Platform One, Livingston North Train Station. We will catch the 9:07 am train to Haymarket.
