A circular walk starting and ending at Watton at Stone station.
This is a beautiful walk along the hills of Hertfordshire through woodlands and countryside, with great views into the valleys. We will pass through Burn Green and Hebing End before stopping for lunch at Dane End village. There is a pub and a shop but please bring a packed lunch. In the afternoon we briefly stop at Sacombe church, before making our way back to Watton at Stone along the banks of the river Beane.
The walk is gently undulating with no major ups or downs.
Meet just outside the entrance to Watton at Stone railway station.
The finishing time of the walk is an estimate only and will be dependant on a number of factors, such as, weather, the speed at which the group walks and the number of breaks taken.
