Please join us for this enjoyable 7-mile circular walk, which begins and ends at Whitwell car park - note change of start location from that previously posted (Bull Inn, Whitwell). We will follow an anti-clockwise route along footpaths, bridleways and byways winding over rolling hills with wide views across open countryside.

The route is undulating, with around 330m total ascent and involves some walking through recently ploughed fields, which could be muddy after rain!
The walk starts at the car park, then descends onto Whitwell High Street, then embarks on a north bound anti-clockwise loop first crossing the River Mimram then passing by All Saints Church and Church Lodge. We recross the Mimram at Lilley Bottom Road, and will pass the Watercress Farm, owned by third generation Sansom family. We will then head south towards Kimpton, then on returning to Whitwell, the walk will conclude at the Bull Inn, where there is the option for post-walk refreshments. Alternatively, the legendary Emily's Tea Shop is just around the corner - perfect for a well earned treat!
Colin G. (walk leader) wishes to acknowledge and thank Dave and Ellie Brewer for providing the walk route!
