Overview

A varied walk on the edge of the moor. Starting at Willsworthy car park, we’ll head towards White Hill, skirting around the hill and rifle ranges before heading to Wheal Jewell via Willsworthy, Hill Bridge and Creason Wood.

Open moorland, mostly on paths and tracks, quiet lanes and woodland. Dogs on leads around livestock. Some up and down.

Willsworthy car park - free car park on the A386 between Tavistock and Okehampton. Coming from Tavistock heading north on the A386, you will drive past Gibbet Hill on your left then Wheal Betsy on your right and the car park is further along on your right.
