Overview

A 10 mile circular walk, climbing up on to Watership Down, where there are spectacular views over surrounding countryside. Walking on across the Downs and descending into Kingsclere. On along the Brenda Parker Way around to the Ecchinswell Road. Along the Ecchinswell Road for a short distance and then climbing up to Nuthanger Farm with more lovely views. Descending to Watership Farm and across to Wergs Farm and back to the car park.

Moderate ascents with steeper descent from the Downs to Kingsclere. Clearly marked paths and tracks, no stiles and moderate pace.
Poles not essential, but useful for descent.

Leave A34 northbound at junction for Highclere and Old Burghclere. Turn left and immediately left again into Beacon Hill Car Park. Plenty of parking. Car sharing can be arranged
