Overview

A circular walk, initially a long steady ascent along the length of the lovely Grisedale Valley to the Tarn. Then a short steep climb onto the ridge, followed by a gradual climb to the summit of St Sunday Crag with fabulous views across to the surrounding fells. The return begins with a rocky descent then becomes an undulating walk with an easy ascent to Birks and a steep descent followed by a gradual ascent to Arnison Crag, finally a last steady descent to return to the car park.
